Complete guide to Credit and Collection Law 2005 edition by Arthur Winston, Jay Winston Paperback - Aspen Publishers; ISBN: 0-7355-5466-8 This book is a wealth of information, including the text of Federal Laws. The book is well researched, and provides good examples. I refer to this book regularly for both general and technical questions. |
Checks by phone/fax
We have located a product that allows you to accept checks over the phone or by fax. You create the paper check in your own office, using your PC and laser printer. No special ink is involved. The software costs $89, and includes your first 300 checks. Your only continuing cost is for the check paper.
Click here for additional information and/or to order the software.

Other Advice
If your office is a member of a state association (such as the state dental association), contact them for questions regarding issues. Their lawyers may have researched the most common problems, and may be able to offer you their legal opinions at no (or reduced) costs.
If you have a good working relationship with your collection agency, ask them for advice on a particular issue. They may have already researched your question, or may have access to quick answers.
Your malpractice insurer may have answers to your questions. Some malpractice insurers will do free in-office audits to help avoid problems.
Risk Management advisors can also help avoid problems and answer questions in your office.
